Call for Papers
Fourth International Workshop on Feedback Control Implementation and Design
in Computing Systems and Networks
(FeBID 2009)
Co-located with
CPS Week 2009
http://controlofsystems.org/febid2009/
FeBID 2009 solicits original research papers on applying feedback control
theory to analyzing and designing computing systems, networks, and service,
such as those in data centers, enterprise systems, real-time systems,
embedded systems, sensor networks, and cyber-physical systems. The workshop
offers a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners to discuss
recent and innovative results in the field. It is a forum to exchange ideas
and experiences on practical control system design and implementation and to
identify future directions and challenges in aligning feedback control
techniques with traditional performance analysis, modeling, and simulation.
Topics of interest to this workshop include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- Control engineering applications to server, embedded and network
systems
- Feedback control architectures
- Operating system, middleware, and programming language supports
- Resource, workload, and quality-of-service managements
- Control models, methodologies, and paradigms for computing systems
- Sensor, actuator and control algorithm designs for computing systems
- Control performance analysis and evaluation
We particularly encourage papers that position research directions in new
areas, or share lessons learned in practical applications.
All submissions should be formatted according to the standard ACM
proceedings guidelines and are between 6~8 pages in length. Please see
workshop website (http://controlofsystems.org/febid2009/)
for submission instructions. Selected papers will be
published in an ACM SIGBED Review special issue.
